Blue Coral Jewelry Bowls  |  White Stoneware Clay, Gold Luster, and Food-Safe Glazes

Through a combination of techniques in ceramics, photography, printmaking and assemblage, Melissa Reddick sculpts unique works of art which bear textures and images particular to her own experience and the experiences of those who commission her work. Her sculptural pieces often feature historic and contemporary photographs which she prints into slabs of wet clay bearing textural impressions.
Relics washed up on North Carolina beaches, architectural artifacts, antique kitchen tools, and bits of ancient hand sewn tatting combined with the screened photographs to texturally embellish the living surface of these dynamic pieces which capture yesterday in the art of tomorrow.

Beach Bums  |  Oil

After a career in interior decorating, Prudy began taking watercolor instruction in 1993.  Six years later and after completing a painting of a historic hardware store in Matthews, NC, her husband talked her into doing prints of the painting.  In a few months, the limited edition was sold out and her career in art was launched.  Since 1993 Prudy has taken many courses and workshops in watercolor, acrylic and oil.  She has traveled to Europe, the US and Mexico for subject matter inspiration.  Art has become her passion and full time pursuit.
