Established in 1993, the Smith Island Art League is composed of artists who reside or own property on Bald Head Island, North Carolina. The group presents a Memorial weekend show as well as a Thanksgiving weekend show each year.
The group presents 3 shows a year: Memorial weekend, Summer weekend and Thanksgiving weekend.
Smith Island Art League, Inc. is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

The Smith Island Art League was started in June of 1993 by six artists on Bald Head Island who elected to form an art club to share their common interests.
