Prudy Brott Weaver

Watercolors - Oils

After a career in interior decorating, Prudy began taking watercolor instruction in 1993.  Six years later and after completing a painting of a historic hardware store in Matthews, NC, her husband talked her into doing prints of the painting.  In a few months, the limited edition was sold out and her career in art was launched.  Since 1993 Prudy has taken many courses and workshops in watercolor, acrylic and oil.  She has traveled to Europe, the US and Mexico for subject matter inspiration.  Art has become her passion and full time pursuit.

Prudy is a member of the NC Watercolor Society, The Charlotte Art League, The Guild of Charlotte Artists, The Charlotte Artists Society, The Silver Brush Society and The Smith Island Art League.  Her works include landscapes, portraits, coastal scenes, people and doors and windows of the many she has passed through during her life.

Prudy is represented by The Charlotte Art League in Charlotte, NC., FABO in Charlotte, Circa Gallery in Asheboro and Room Service on Bald Head Island.  She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and there have been many articles written about her journey.  She lives and has a home studio in Waxhaw, NC
