Oil Painting - Maria was born and raised in Matagalpa, Nicaragua.  She studied Interior Design at the University of Texas and received a Masters in Liberal Studies with a concentration in the visual arts from North Carolina State University.  She is now an adjunct professor of art appreciation and art history for Campbell University and Mount Olive College.
